via Pink Line Project:

Andrew Wodzianski joined Salon Contra this week from his 100 square feet pop-up living space in a storefront on U Street via Skype this week. At the Salon, artist Kathryn Cornelius explored with Andrew questions about the distance between reality and fiction and what it means to be a performance artist on public display.

You can watch Andrew go about his mundane life HERE. For some weird reason, I can’t stop watching him! He is almost always there except during the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays when he is allowed to go to his job!  Check it out.  Tomorrow might be your last day as the space will be moved to the CuDC’s gala venue so guests can climb around inside his tiny living cube.

The Pop-Up living space is a project of the Cultural Development Corporation’s “Space For Art” gala on Saturday.

holla at us on foursquare

In the interest of experimentation and social networking, we’ve added foursquare functionality to all of the pop-up spaces. foursquare is a cross between a friend-finder, a social city-guide and a game that rewards you for doing interesting things. When you visit one of our spaces, check in to foursquare and text your impression of the space.

The first person to check into all 5 spaces and text us their feedback through foursquare receives two free tickets to the Gala Dance Party!

Here is an image of a “Shawbuck” created by Team WORK. WORK is using these “Shawbucks” as currency with the community to trade for objects for use in their piece.  This exchange gets the locals directly involved in the process of building their pop-up space as well as gives participators a bit of art as a keepsake from the project.
